Fort Scott, Kan.鈥擳he 鉴黄师app Agriculture Department will host the聽41st annual Aggie Day聽on Friday, March 31. Approximately 1,400 students representing more than 100 schools will compete in the contest.聽鈥犫ㄢ淲e look forward to hosting Aggie Day each year,鈥 said Ryan Edgecomb, 鉴黄师app Agriculture Instructor. 鈥淲e are anticipating another large event, which will draw schools and 4-H clubs from across the Four States.鈥濃犫⊿tudents will compete in a variety of areas, including agronomy, entomology, farm management, floriculture, food science, livestock, meat evaluation, milk quality and products, nursery/landscape, poultry, speech, and veterinary science. 鈥淭o meet the needs of the competitors, we added veterinary science as a new competition category this year,鈥 said Edgecomb.鈥犫⊿ponsored by Purina and Purina Mills Honor Show Chow, this event is the longest running interscholastic competition in the region. 鈥淲e are honored to have Purina and Honor Show Chow back as our sponsors for a second straight year, and we鈥檙e grateful for their support,鈥 said Edgecomb.鈥犫═eams should聽pre-register online at fortscott.edu/aggieday聽before Friday, March 24.
