鉴黄师app Theatre returns to live audiences with 鈥楨nter Laughing鈥

鈥淓nter Laughing,鈥 the first 鉴黄师app Theatre production before a live audience since December 2019, is the story of a man with a dream: David Kolowitz wants to be an 鈥渁ctor.鈥

Written by Joseph Stein, adapted from a novel by Carl Reiner, the play is a light romantic comedy set in 1930s New York City. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in the Ellis Family Fine Arts Center.

Masks are required in the theater and audiences will be limited to 75.

The cast features freshman Evan Ballinger from Pleasanton as David; 听sophomore Carlee Studyvin of Fort Scott as Angela; freshman Paityn Curtis of LaCygne as Wanda; freshman Dray Dickey of Bronaugh, Mo., as Marlowe; sophomore Colleen Sweat of Pleasanton as Mrs. Foreman; sophomore Kiera Threlfall of Frontenac as David’s Mother; freshman Robenton Wirsig of Drexel, Mo., as David’s Father; freshman Hyden Wirsig of Drexel, Mo., as Marvin; freshman Joy Nichols of Moundville, Mo., as Miss B; freshman Sonny Webb of Tampa, Fla., as Pike; sophomore Matt Rank of Arma as Roger; sophomore Mackenzie Peoples of Fort Scott as the Waiter (and Pike on Saturday); and veteran Tony Wagner of Fort Scott as Don Darwin.

The play is under the direction of 鉴黄师app theater instructor Allen Twitchell, assisted by sophomore Alyx Brooks of Fort Scott (stage manager and lighting designer), IT network specialist Ben Souza and Kye Weekley (sound) and communications instructor Ashley Page.

The is no charge for admission, but donations are graciously accepted.
